Issued 3:00 AM NST 27 February 2020 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over southern Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Friday trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:54 AM NST 27 February 2020 A trough of low pressure over the South Labrador Sea will cross Belle
Isle Bank this morning before moving east of the district by this
evening. Gale force northwesterlies can be expected over northern
waters in the wake of this feature.

Meanwhile, an intensifying trough of low pressure will approach the
marine district from the southwest on Friday. Gale to storm force
easterlies will spread across most waters ahead of the trough
tonight, with strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwest Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf,
and the Grand Banks.
