By 10:00 a.m. NDT Friday trough located east of the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday ridge located east of the Avalon Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:29 PM NDT 16 September 2021 A trough of low pressure over Eastern Newfoundland will continue to
sweep eastward across eastern waters tonight. Strong to gale force
south to southwesterlies are expected ahead of this feature, with
strong to gale force northwesterlies over northern waters tonight in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand
Banks.
