Issued 10:00 AM NST 17 February 2019 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line north-south overBelle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching low 962 mb located over
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:52 AM NST 17 February 2019 A trough of low pressure over the Belle Isle Bank will move to lieover the Labrador Sea this afternoon. A low pressure system will
develop in the trough this evening and intensify on Monday as it
moves southward toward the marine district. Gale force
southeasterlies ahead of the trough will shift to gale force
westerlies today. Generally gale to storm force westerly winds are
forecast for Monday as the low approaches.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South
Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
