Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NST 6 December 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 973 mb located over the
Quebec Lower North Shore.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 963 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:56 AM NST 6 December 2024 An intense low pressure system over the Quebec Lower North Shore will
track northeastward across Labrador to lie over the Labrador Sea by
Saturday morning. Gale to storm force southeasterlies ahead of the
low will shift to gale to storm force southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, and South Coast,
where gale warnings are in effect.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
