Issued 8:00 PM NST 22 January 2020 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday weakening ridge located on a line
north-south over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 1011 mb located south of the Grand
Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 991 mb located east of the Grand
Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 8:00 PM NST 22 January 2020 A low pressure system approaching from the south will cross extreme
southeastern waters tonight. Gale to storm force northeast to
northwesterlies are expected to develop in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are
in effect for Funk Island Bank - southern half and Southwestern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis.
