Issued 3:00 AM NST 24 February 2024 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday trough located on a line north-south over
eastern Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM NST 24 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will track
eastward across the marine district today and Sunday, departing to
the east of the district by Sunday evening. Strong to gale force
southerlies ahead of trough will shift to strong west to
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Northeast Gulf,
Gulf - Port au Port - northwestern half, and Southeastern Grand
Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East Coast - north of Cape
St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
