By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located north of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday trough located east of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:49 AM NST 16 December 2019 A trough of low pressure over Belle Isle Bank will depart into theLabrador Sea this morning. Winds will be strong to gale force
southwesterly in its wake.
A second trough over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will move west today.
Strong to gale force west to southwesterlies will increase to gale to
storm force westerlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, and East Coast -
Cape St. Francis and south. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast and
Belle Isle Bank.
