Issued 3:00 AM NST 17 February 2020 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over Funk Island Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1015 mb located south of Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 1005 mb located over the northern
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday approaching ridge located over Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM NST 17 February 2020 A trough of low pressure over Funk Island Bank will depart to the
east of the marine district this morning. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies over eastern waters will diminish early this morning
as the trough moves away.

Meanwhile, a low pressure system south of Nova Scotia will move to
lie over the Northern Grand Banks tonight. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies can be expected over eastern waters in the wake of
the low on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters expect Strait of Belle Isle and the Southern
Grand Banks.
