Wind diminishing to west 35 overnight and to northwest 25 near noon Saturday. Wind veering to north 15 to 20 Saturday evening.

Periods of rain beginning early this morning and ending Saturday afternoon. Fog patches forming this evening and dissipating Saturday morning.

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 20 September 2019 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line east-west over the
South Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Saturday dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today Post-tropical Storm Humberto 970 mb located
at 40.6N 58.0W.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday weakening Post-tropical Storm Humberto
980 mb located at 44.6N 52.6W.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NDT 20 September 2019 At 3.00 AM NDT, post-tropical storm Humberto was located near
latitude 40.6 north and longitude 58.0 west , about 220 nautical
miles south-southeast of Sable Island. Maximum sustained winds are
estimated at 75 knots and central pressure at 970 MB. Humberto is
moving north-northeast at 17 knots.

Humberto will continue northeastward today and weaken as it tracks
through the Southern Grand Banks tonight.

Gale force southeasterlies ahead of Humberto will increase to gale to
storm force southwesterlies to its south this evening. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will persist behind Humberto on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure moving southward from Labrador
will track across the district tonight and Saturday. Strong to gale
force northerlies are expected behind the trough during the same
time.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank and
Northern Grand Banks. Storm warnings are in effect for the Southern
Grand Banks.
