Wind south 15 knots increasing to south 25 early this morning and to south 35 late this morning. Wind increasing to south 40 to 50 near noon then diminishing to west 35 early this evening. Wind diminishing to west 25 overnight and to west 15 Wednesday afternoon.

Rain and fog patches today and early this evening with a risk of thunderstorms. Rain beginning Wednesday evening.

Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 16 October 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today departing ridge located over the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 990 mb located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 963 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:38 AM NDT 16 October 2018 A low pressure system over Quebec will rapidly deepen as it moves to
lie over the belle bank overnight and east of the marine district by
Wednesday morning. Gale to storm force south to southeasterlies will
develop ahead of this system then shift to gale to storm force west
to southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Southeastern Grand Banks where gale a warning is in
effect.

Marine interests are also advised that areas between Bay St. George
and Bonne Bay can expect high waves, pounding surf conditions and
elevated water levels beginning this afternoon and continuing until
early Wednesday morning.
