Issued 3:00 AM NST 4 February 2023 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northwest-southeastover Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over southern Labrador Sea.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 956 mb located near Lake Melville.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 968 mb located over eastern Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:52 AM NST 4 February 2023 A trough of low pressure over Belle Isle Bank will move to lie northof the marine district this morning. Gale to storm force west to
southwesterlies will continue today in its wake.
Later today, a low pressure system near Lake Melville will move
southward across Belle Isle Bank. Gale to storm force northwesterlies
are expected over most waters tonight behind the low with hurricane
force winds expected over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Storm warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
