By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing trough located east of the Marine
District.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today deepening low 993 mb located over Ontario.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Thursday deepening low 993 mb located over the
Maritimes.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday ridge located over western Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:48 AM NST 4 December 2024 An intensifying low pressure system will approach Newfoundland from
the west on Thursday and track north through the Gulf of St. Lawrence
Thursday night. Gale to storm force southeasterlies ahead of the low
will develop over southwestern waters as it approaches.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwest Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for Gulf waters, South
Coast, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
