the East Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday trough located on a line north-south
over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM NDT 21 April 2026 A trough of low pressure will remain nearly stationary just east of
Newfoundland throughout the forecast period. The trough is expected
to intensify overnight tonight into Wednesday. As a result, strong to
gale force northerlies will develop just west of the trough tonight
and Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half and Southwestern Grand Banks.
