Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located over the Quebec Lower
North Shore.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 1000 mb located east of the Grand
Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the East Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:46 PM NDT 13 April 2026 A low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will slowly drift
further out to sea tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
eastern waters in the wake of the low will gradually diminish tonight
as the low departs and a ridge of high pressure builds in from the
west.

Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure over the Lower North Shore of
Quebec will track eastward before developing into a low pressure
system over Southern Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies will develop over the Southern Grand Banks south of
the low tonight.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and the Grand Banks.
