At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1008 mb located southeast of the Marine
District.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 1003 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located over the western Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:57 AM NST 22 December 2024 A low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will track northeastwardtoday to lie south of Greenland on Monday. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies will persist north and west of the low while gale to
storm force southerlies will continue to its east. Winds will shift
to gale to storm force northwest to southwesterlies in the wake of
the low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank.
Gale warning are in effect for all remaining regions.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters and Belle Isle Bank.
