Issued 10:00 AM NST 21 February 2019 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 945 mb located southeast of Greenland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Friday low 972 mb located east of Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday weakening ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:53 AM NST 21 February 2019 Strong to gale force northwesterlies will continue to diminish today
over most waters between an intense low pressure system southeast of
Greenland and an approaching ridge of high pressure to the west.
Over the Belle Isle Bank the strong to gale force winds are expected
to persist into Friday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand
Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast
which are mainly ice covered.
