Issued 3:00 AM NST 3 February 2023 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over the Maritimes.By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 954 mb located over
southern Labrador Sea.
At 3:00 a.m. NST today departing ridge located over the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:55 AM NST 3 February 2023 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from thesouthwest this morning and cross Newfoundland today. The trough will
continue northward across Belle Isle Bank tonight to lie north of the
marine district by Saturday morning. Gale to storm force south to
southeasterlies will spread across most waters today ahead of the
trough and veer to gale to storm force westerlies in its wake.
Late on Saturday, a low pressure system over the Labrador Sea will
move southward into Belle Isle Bank. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies are expected over western waters late in the period
behind the low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters.
