Issued 3:30 PM NST 16 January 2018 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 1011 mb located over the
northern Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing low 999 mb located northeast
of the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located from Labrador to Belle
Isle Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight high located over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Wednesday high located over the northern Grand
Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:27 PM NST 16 January 2018 A low pressure system will cross Northern Grand Banks today and leave
the marine district tonight. Strong to gale force southwesterlies to
its south and strong to gale force northerlies in its wake will
diminish tonight as the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that gale warning are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island
Bank, and the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
