Issued 10:00 AM NST 23 February 2024 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 992 mb located over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 986 mb located northeast of
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching trough located over the
St. Lawrence River.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday dissipating trough located over the
southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:56 AM NST 23 February 2024 A low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will continue
northeastward this morning before it departs the marine district this
afternoon. Strong to gale force southerlies are expected over the
Grand Banks today in the wake of this system.

A second trough will approach the district from the west tonight.
Strong to gale force southerlies will spread across most waters late
in the day on Saturday ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
