low to the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday trough from 1000 mb low located on a
line northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday approaching ridge located over northern
Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:50 PM NDT 23 March 2018 A low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will continue
northeastward and move out to sea overnight. A trough trailing behind
the low will lie over eastern waters through much of Saturday before
departing to the east of the marine district. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies will persist to the north of these features.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south,
and the Grand Banks.
