Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:45 AM NST 23 February 2019 An intensifying trough of low pressure over Northern Belle Isle Bank
will continue to move southeastwards today. Gale force
northwesterlies over Belle Isle Bank will spread southwards today.
Winds will gradually diminish as a ridge of high pressure approaches
from the west Sunday evening.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island
Bank and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf and
Northeast Coast which are mainly ice covered.
