Issued 8:00 PM NDT 11 April 2026 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 1005 mb located over the
Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday merging low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 1000 mb located over the
southern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Sunday merging low 989 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:42 PM NDT 11 April 2026 A deepening low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will
track eastward across Newfoundland tonight and Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, a second deepening low pressure system over the Southern
Grand Banks will track northeastward across the Grand Banks.
By Sunday afternoon, both systems are expected to merge into an
intense low pressure system that will remain nearly stationary just
east of Funk Island Bank.

Gale force northeasterlies to northwesterlies are expected in the
vicinity of the first low over the Gulf waters tonight, while gale
force southerlies to westerlies are expected over the Grand Banks
with the second low. As the lows merge on Sunday, gale force
southwesterlies to northwesterlies will spread to all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
