Issued 10:00 AM NST 17 December 2017 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 957 mb located east of the Marine
District.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 958 mb located east of Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today dissipating low 974 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday approaching ridge located west of the
Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:43 AM NST 17 December 2017 An intense low pressure system east of the marine district will
continue northeastward today to lie east of Greenland by Monday
morning. A ridge of high pressure will approach the district from the
west on Monday. Gale force northwesterlies in the immediate wake of
the low diminish to strong to gale force between the two features.
Winds diminish to moderate to strong in the vicinity of the ridge on
Monday.

Marine interests are advised gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Southwest Coast,
South Coast, and East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
