Issued 8:00 PM NDT 2 April 2025 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight intensifying low 973 mb located over
southern Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Thursday low 991 mb located northeast of Labrador
Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday ridge located over Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM NDT 2 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the South Labrador Sea will
remain nearly stationary tonight, then gradually track northwards on
Thursday. Strong to gale force southwest to northwesterlies will
continue tonight in the wake of the low, except over extreme northern
waters, hurricane force winds will persist through the evening.
Winds will gradually diminish overnight tonight and Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Southeastern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
