Issued 8:00 PM NST 21 February 2018 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 1000 mb located near the
Strait of Belle Isle.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday deepening low 959 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST Thursday approaching high located over Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:56 PM NST 21 February 2018 A low pressure system near the Strait of Belle Isle will rapidly
intensify as it crosses the northern marine district tonight, then
moves out over the North Atlantic on Thursday. Meanwhile, a strong
area of high pressure will slowly build eastward from Quebec.
This low will spread gale to storm force west to northwesterlies
Over all waters tonight as it passes and these winds will
Persist through Thursday between the low and the high.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Strait of Belle Isle.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
