Issued 3:00 AM NST 19 January 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over the St. Lawrence River.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday trough located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 998 mb located south of
Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday low 973 mb located northwest of Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:56 AM NST 19 January 2025 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from the
west today and setup over the Gulf of St. Lawrence tonight. Strong to
gale force south to southeast winds will spread across all waters
ahead of the trough.

A low pressure system will rapidly intensify as it moves up the
Eastern Seaboard tonight then along the trough through the Gulf of
St. Lawrence on Monday to lie northwest of Belle Isle Bank by Monday
evening. Gale force south to southeast winds will persist over most
waters ahead of this low then shift to gale force southwesterly to
northwesterly in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle and Gulf waters.
