Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM NST 21 November 2024 A low pressure system south of Laurentian Fan will slowly move to lieeast of the Grand Banks by Friday morning. Generally strong to gale
force northeasterlies are expected throughout the forecast period
north of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East Coast -
north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are further advised of pounding surf and elevated
water conditions for areas exposed to swell from the northeast
between Cape Race and Strait of Belle Isle today.
