Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM NDT 18 March 2019 Tonight and Tuesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 980 mb located east of Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday quasi-stationary low 970 mb located east
of Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located south of the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over the southern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM NDT 18 March 2019 A low pressure system east of the Labrador Sea will move to lie east
of Greenland tonight. Gale force southwesterly winds over
northeastern waters will diminish tonight as the low moves away and a
ridge approaches.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank and the Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Southwest Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and
the Funk Island Bank.
