By 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 963 mb located over the South
Labrador Sea.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:22 AM NST 6 December 2024 An intense low pressure system over the Quebec Lower North Shore willtrack northeastward across Labrador to lie over the South Labrador
Sea by Saturday morning. Gale to storm force southeast to
northeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to gale force
northwest to southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville, where a gale warning is in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and South Labrador Coast.
