Sea.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 998 mb located south of
Cape Cod.
By 9:30 p.m. NST Monday low 973 mb located over the South Labrador
Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:53 AM NST 19 January 2025 A low pressure system is expected to rapidly intensify as it tracksnortheastward along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard and through the Gulf of
St. Lawrence to lie over the South Labrador Coast by Monday evening.
Gale to storm force southeasterlies are expected northeast of the low
while gale force north to northwesterlies are expected to its
northwest.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Mid Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, South Labrador
Sea - northwestern half, and Northwest Labrador Sea.
