Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:10 PM NDT 23 October 2020 A trough of low pressure over Southwestern Greenland will remain
nearly stationary tonight. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure will
approach the marine district from the west. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies over the East Labrador Sea will diminish tonight as
the ridge approaches.
A low pressure system will approach from the west on Saturday and
move over the Labrador Sea later Saturday night. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low Saturday afternoon and
shift to southwesterly in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea.
