Issued 4:00 PM NST 17 February 2018 Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 988 mb located over the Northwest
Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Sunday weakening low 999 mb located over the
Northwest Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 979 mb located east of
Belle Isle Bank.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday quasi-stationary low 955 mb located
southeast of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over western Labrador.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Labrador Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:53 PM NST 17 February 2018 An intense low pressure system will remain nearly stationary over the
Northwest Labrador Sea and gradually weaken on Sunday. Strong to gale
force easterlies are expected east of the low. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies are expected to the west of the low. Winds will
diminish to strong to gale force westerlies on Sunday as the low
weakens and a ridge approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Northwest Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
