Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NST 8 December 2023 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. NST today quasi-stationary low 940 mb located east
of Belle Isle Bank.

At 4:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching ridge located from Ungava
Bay to New England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 PM NST 8 December 2023 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will remain near
stationary southeast of the marine district throughout the forecast
period. Strong to gale force northeast to northwesterlies will
persist through tonight and diminish Saturday as a ridge begins to
move in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except East Labrador Sea - northwestern half.
