Greenland.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
western Labrador.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line north-south over
central Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching trough located over the
Torngat Mountains.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:21 AM NST 26 December 2024 A low pressure system will remain nearly stationary east of Greenlandbefore departing to the east later today. Meanwhile, a ridge over
Labrador will slowly drift eastward and build over the Labrador coast
today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies between these features
will diminish today as the low departs.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for North Labrador Coast and the Labrador Sea.
