By 9:30 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday approaching trough located over Hudson
Strait.
At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located over the North Labrador
Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line north-south
over the East Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:17 PM NDT 14 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the East Labrador Sea will move east ofthe marine district by Wednesday morning. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake will diminish as the trough departs.
A second trough of low pressure will approach the marine district
from the west on Wednesday. Strong to gale force southerlies are
expected ahead of this trough late in the day on Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south, North Labrador Coast, South
Labrador Sea, and Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
