By 4:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday trough located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over eastern
Greenland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 12:48 PM NDT 20 April 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will slowlymove eastward to lie over the East Labrador Sea by Tuesday morning,
while a ridge of high pressure over Eastern Greenland remains nearly
stationary. Gale to storm force south to southeasterlies ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its
wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea. A gale warning is in effect for Northwest Labrador
Sea.
