Issued 9:30 AM NST 6 March 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NST today trough located southeast of the EastLabrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday departing trough located southeast of
the Marine District.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over western Labrador.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line north-south over
the South Labrador Sea.
At 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday approaching low 992 mb located over
Ungava Bay.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:23 AM NST 6 March 2026 A trough of low pressure southeast of the East Labrador Sea willcontinue to track southeastward today and tonight. Meanwhile, a ridge
of high pressure will approach the marine district from the west.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies over most waters between these
two features will gradually diminish as the trough moves away and the
ridge approaches.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water.
