By 9:30 p.m. NST Saturday low 952 mb located east of the East
Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:15 PM NST 16 January 2026 An intense low pressure system will continue northeastwards tonightto lie east of the Labrador Sea by late in the day Saturday. Strong
to gale force easterlies ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm
force northwesterlies to southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
all waters except Lake Melville and Mid Labrador Coast, where gale
warnings are in effect.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open waters.
