By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday ridge located over northern Labrador.
At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 989 mb located south of Newfoundland.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Friday low 991 mb located east of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:17 AM NST 21 November 2024 A ridge of high pressure over the Northwest Labrador Sea will movewestward to lie over Northern Labrador today. Meanwhile, a low
pressure system south of Newfoundland will slowly move eastward
today. Strong to gale force northeasterlies over southern waters
between these features will gradually diminish today.
Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
South Labrador Coast.
Marine interests are further advised of pounding surf and elevated
water conditions for areas exposed to swell from the northeast
between Strait of Belle Isle and Groswater Bay today.
