Issued 4:00 AM NST 25 January 2026 Today Tonight and Monday At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 972 mb located over the East Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday low 998 mb located north of Cape Chidley.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today low 958 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday low 943 mb located southeast of Labrador
Sea.

At 4:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 4:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Cape Breton Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:51 AM NST 25 January 2026 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will move westwards
today to lie north of Cape Chidley tonight. Gale to storm force west
to northwesterlies over northern waters will diminish tonight as the
low moves west and weakens.

Meanwhile, a second intense low pressure system will meander
southeast of the district through the forecast period. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will persist over southern waters behind this
low.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, Northwest Labrador Sea, and
East Labrador Sea. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all regions with open water except East Labrador Sea.
