Issued 9:30 PM NDT 11 October 2024 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 970 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Saturday dissipating low 973 mb located near
Lake Melville.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight intensifying low 976 mb located southeast
of the Marine District.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Saturday low 965 mb located over the Mid Labrador
Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:18 PM NDT 11 October 2024 A series of intense low pressure centres moving over Southern
Labrador waters will cause gale to storm force easterly to northerly
winds tonight. Some areas will see winds briefly diminish overnight
as the first centre dissipates, but winds will further increase to
storm to hurricane force northeasterlies on Saturday as the second
low centre intensifies.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for East Labrador Sea - southern half. Storm warnings are
in effect for South Labrador Sea - northern half, and Northwest
Labrador Sea - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast, Northwest Labrador Sea -
northern half, and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
