Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 PM NDT 6 October 2026 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 978 mb located near Lake Melville.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday low 986 mb located east of Labrador Sea.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT Wednesday approaching ridge located over western
Labrador.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:25 PM NDT 6 October 2026 A low pressure system near Lake Melville will track northeastward to
lie east of the Labrador Sea by Wednesday evening, then continue to
slowly move eastward through Wednesday night. Strong to gale force
north to northeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong to
gale force northwesterlies behind it on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and Northwest Labrador Sea - northern
half.
