By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday departing low 994 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 4:00 p.m. NDT today ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:53 PM NDT 11 March 2026 An intense low pressure system over the Northern Labrador Sea willtrack southeastward across the marine district to lie southeast of
Greenland by Thursday afternoon. Gale to storm force westerly to
northwesterly winds south of and on the back side of the low will
gradually ease overnight through Thursday as a ridge of high pressure
builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek and the Labrador Sea.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Labrador Sea.
