By 8:00 p.m. NST Tuesday departing low 990 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Tuesday ridge located over Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 8:01 PM NST 9 December 2024 An intense low pressure system located over Western Belle Isle Bankwill track northeastward tonight and Tuesday to lie southeast of
Greenland by Tuesday evening. Gale to storm force southwesterlies to
northwesterlies will gradually diminish on Tuesday as the low
departs.
Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for Strait
of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Gulf -
Port au Port and the Southern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Northeast Coast.
