By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 972 mb located east of Belle Isle
Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday approaching ridge located over the
Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 8:06 PM NST 8 February 2023 A low pressure system over the Northern Grand Banks will continuenortheastwards to lie east of Belle Isle Bank by Thursday. In the
wake of the low, and ahead of a ridge of high pressure approaching
from the west, strong to gale force west to northwesterlies are
expected over most waters tonight and Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Port au Port, Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all areas except the Grand Banks.
