Issued 3:00 AM NST 20 January 2018 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. NST today departing low 982 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 986 mb located over western Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 982 mb located off the Northeast Coast
of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located east of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:44 AM NST 20 January 2018 A low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will continue eastward
into the Atlantic today. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
eastern waters will subside this morning as it recedes.

A low pressure system over Western Quebec will track eastward across
the Great Northern Peninsula this evening and then move out to sea
overnight. Strong to gale force westerlies will develop over all
waters in the wake of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and the
Southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
