Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:50 PM NST 16 January 2022 A low pressure system just northeast of Belle Isle Bank will continue
to move tonight towards Greenland. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies will gradually diminish tonight as the low pulls
A second low will approach from the southwest on Monday. Strong to
gale force southeasterlies will develop over southeastern waters
ahead of the low late Monday.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northern Grand Banks and
Southeastern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast and the Grand Banks.
