Issued 3:00 AM AST 21 January 2025 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. AST today deepening low 967 mb located north of
Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. AST today departing low 958 mb located over Labrador
Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 1026 mb located over Lurcher.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday departing low 1019 mb located near
the Burin Peninsula.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 1009 mb located south of East
Scotian Slope.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Wednesday departing low 998 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM AST 21 January 2025 An intense low pressure system near Southeastern Labrador will move
northward across the Labrador Sea today. Strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies over the district will continue to diminish today and
this evening.
On Wednesday another low will track just south of the marine district
to lie over the Grand Banks Wednesday evening. Strong to gale force
northerlies will develop west of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for all waters except Georges
Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, and Laurentian Fan.
