Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:41 AM AST 8 December 2019 The cold northwesterly flow in the wake of a departing low pressuresystem east of Newfoundland will maintain freezing spray over Gulf
waters this morning.
A ridge of high pressure over New England will move eastward to lie
southeast of the marine district Monday morning. A trough of low
pressure will slowly approach the marine district from the northwest
tonight and Monday. Winds will increase to strong to gale force
southwesterlies ahead of the trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave
Bank, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
