Issued 3:00 AM AST 16 December 2018 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. AST today departing trough located southeast of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight deepening low 1002 mb located south of
Long Island.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Monday low 983 mb located south of Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. AST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located over the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM AST 16 December 2018 A trough of low pressure southeast of the marine district will
continue to pull away from the region this morning. Strong to gale
force northwesterlies will persist over eastern waters today in the
wake of the trough.

A low pressure system is expected to deepen as it tracks up the U.S.
seaboard tonight to lie south of Nova Scotia on Monday. Strong to
gale force easterly winds are forecast to develop ahead of this
system across much of the district tonight and Monday with strong to
possibly gale force westerlies in its wake over the southern slope
waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
