Issued 8:00 PM ADT 21 September 2018 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the southeastern Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. ADT Saturday departing ridge located east of
Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight cold front located over the western
St. Lawrence River.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday cold front located from Banquereau to
Georges Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday approaching ridge located over New
England.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM ADT 21 September 2018 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will continue to track
across Quebec tonight and will move into Labrador on Saturday.
Strong southerlies will develop across the region this evening and
then increase to southwesterly gales after midnight across all but
the most southerly waters. Storm force southwesterlies are expected
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence overnight and Saturday morning with
storm force westerlies persisting Saturday over Anticosti.
Winds will become moderate to strong northwesterlies in the wake of
the system Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for Fundy,
Grand Manan, Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Sable,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait and
Chaleur-Miscou.
