Rain with a risk of thunderstorms late this morning changing to scattered showers overnight. Fog patches dissipating near noon.

Issued 10:00 AM ADT 24 October 2021 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today intensifying low 996 mb located over
Cabot Strait.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 988 mb located over western Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today cold front from 1002 mb low located from
the low to Laurentian Fan.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT today departing cold front located on a line
north-south over the Grand Banks.

By 3:00 a.m. ADT Monday low 985 mb located northeast of
Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:34 AM ADT 24 October 2021 An intensifying low over Cabot Strait with a cold front extending
southward to Laurentian Fan will move northeast today to lie over
Western Newfoundland this afternoon as the associated front departs
into the Grand Banks. Strong southerly winds ahead of the system will
increase to strong to gale force westerly to northwesterly winds in
its wake.

Marine interest are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen,
and Chaleur - Miscou - eastern half.
