Issued 10:00 AM ADT 23 October 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today trough located over the Gulf of St. Lawrence
extending northeastward.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday trough located east of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low 1012 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Wednesday deepening low 1004 mb located over
the Gulf of Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:36 AM ADT 23 October 2018 A low pressure system will approach the district from the west today
reaching Cape Cod by this evening. The disturbance will then start to
intensify before tracking northeastward this evening. There remains
some uncertainty over the exact track and intensity of this system.
Current model guidance suggests it will track over Nova Scotia
Wednesday evening. Strong to gale force southeast to northeast winds
will develop ahead of this system with strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu,
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait,
Chaleur-Miscou, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.
